Socks are the most needed item, and the least donated.
OUR VISION
Warm Feet project was founded on the simple belief that a small group of people, through one small act of kindness, can improve the lives and conditions for the homeless, right now, right here in our city – but ONLY IF we take action.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to distribute a pair of new, warm wool socks to every person in the Twin Cities experiencing homelessness. We are thankful for your participation in this effort, regardless if you donate $13 or $300.
Every dollar raised is put directly into purchasing another pair of socks.
PUTTING FAITH INTO ACTION
In February 2012, Dave was shoveling and flooding an ice rink on the pond in his back yard, completely unaware that his boots had a hole in them and the exposed wool sock was frozen solid. Yet he never felt cold on his foot.

On the news that night was a story about how the homeless were coping with -20 degree temperatures that night, and separately, a story about a Chicago doctor who delivers McDonald's meals daily to the homeless near his office under the Wacker Drive bridge in Chicago.

The next morning the sermon at church was about "putting your faith into action" . . . and so the Warm Feet Project was founded.
